Garañones
Garañones (Calle Cascadas del Mar 3, 38911 Frontera) – located on the northwest part of the island, this restaurant is known for serving freshly-caught local seafood (including camarones). These and other dishes, including meat and potatoes, can be eaten with a Canarian sauce served here called “mojo verde” (a punchy herbal sauce made of garlic, cilantro, cumin, olive oil and sea salt). One can also order another Canarian specialty here called “churros de pescado” (small white fish fillets marinated in garlic, lemon and parsley – coated in batter flavored with saffron, more garlic, herbs and cerveza).
